Singing Christmas carols!

On Wednesday, December 14th Amanda Williams (Miss Metro St. Louis) and I sang Christmas carols and other songs at Garden Village Retirement Home in Kansas City. I loved singing to the residents and watching them sing a long their favorite songs!  This retirement home is special to me because my Nana Rose lived there before she passed away. I always make a point to visit the residents throughout the year and entertain them by singing. I know my grandmother would have been proud!

Singing and toy donations in Columbia

On Saturday, Decmember 10th I collected toy donations for the University of Missouri Children's Hospital and CMNH at the Columbia Mall and paired up with  Amanda Williams (Miss Metro -St. Louis) to sing Christmas carols! We had such a great time and had a chance to talk with DJs from the Radio Station
Q- 106.  What a great way to encourage shoppers to pick up an extra holiday gift for the children at the MU's Children's Hospital. I am so proud to represent Columbia's Outstanding Teen 2012!

Children's Hospital Gala dinner

On Friday, November 4th I attended the Children's Hospital Gala dinner with my sister queens; Hannah, Megan, and Shade!  Also attending was Sydney Friar (Miss Missouri) and McKensie Garber (Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen).  What a wonderful evening to pay tribute to all the heroes that help Children's Miracle Network.  There were several awards given to people who truly make a difference. What an honor to be a part of this experience and see how special it was for the kids ! They got to be super heroes and have special super hero names which they loved!   There was also an auction which all proceeds benefited Children's Miracle Network. Thank you to my directors- Dave and Dawn Williams who made this possible for me to attend!
The next night we enjoyed watching the Miss Audrain pageant and cheering on the girls!  Congrats to the new girls and I can't wait to spend more time with you at State!

To all my family friends and friends, thank you for all of your help, love and support throughout this whole experience!
The Williams family and Miss Columbia/Boone County board, you need to know how HAPPY I am to have the opportunity to work with all of you this year! You all have the best qualities a pageant girl could ask for. I am so excited to start working with all of you!

I love you all so much and thank you for making me laugh and smile throughout my first experience during Miss Missouri week.  I love spending time with all of you!  You are definitely the funniest group of girls and moms I've ever met. Grandma Linda, You are the best grandma a girl could ever ask for! Thank you so much for everything you do and for making me laugh whenever I needed it the most. You never fail to make me smile in any given situation. I really appreciate that you have attended all of my pageants, it really means a lot. I love you so much and I always will.
Mom, I don't even know where to start. I guess I should start by saying how happy I'm glad that you're not one of those "pageant moms".  Thank you SO much for your continuous support and non-stop positive encouragement. There's not a day that goes by where you don't make me smile! I am so completely blessed so have such a wonderful mom like you in my life. When you say that you're so proud of me, you need to realize that you're the one who has made me the girl I am. So I should be the proud one! I honestly don't know where I would be without you in my life. I want you to know that I appreciate each and every little thing you do. It's the little things you do that make me the happiest. I love you so much mom.
Lastly, I would like to thank  God who has blessed me ! I know God has a plan for everyone and I am excited to see what his plan is and where it will take me!  I am so excited to further my platform with Children's Miracle Network!!!
I love all of you so much and I can't thank you enough. Thank you for joining me on my journey of Miss Columbia Outstanding Teen 2012!
